EaterWire: Sugie's Permanent Breadbar Menu, Red Mango's Anni, Yukon Mining Company Closed?

New, 6 comments

CENTURY CITY: Today marks a new beginning, more like an evolution, at Breadbar at the Westfield mall: Noriyuki Sugie, who signed on to do a guest-chef series called Crudobar, has signed on permanently. In addition to fabulous pastries we're used to, the new menu features things like chicken lollipops, beer-battered brie sliders and sake panna cotta. [UrbanDaddy]

WESTWOOD: Can you believe it's already a year since the first Red Mango opened adding to the froyo fray? They're celebrating this weekend with a good cause in mind: Tomorrow, Saturday, August 2, sales from the entire day will proceed the Invisible Children charity, and actress Kristen Bell will be in the shop from 1pm-3pm. For anyone who craves some late-night froyo, this location will be open until 1am. (10942 Weyburn Ave) [EaterWire Inbox]

WEST HOLLYWOOD: Still unconfirmed at this point but a possibility since no one's answering the phone, a tipster sends word that the Yukon Mining Company on Santa Monica Boulevard might be closed. [EaterWire]
