Nick Roberts and Brooke Williamson
Making our way through this weekend's Simply DiVine at Two Rodeo over the weekend, we secured two items of choice gossip goodness for you:
1) We ran into Brooke Williamson and Nick Roberts, chef-partners at Beechwood. They dished exclusively to Eater that now that things are running well at the Venice restaurant, they're adding a new project to their repertoire: A gastropub called Hudson House in Redondo Beach. No, not another restaurant jumping on the Hudson bandwagon--this one is named for their son. They're staying on at Beechwood, but said they hope to open Hudson by November.
2) At the A.O.C./Lucques table, we finagled just a few more details about the forthcoming Suzanne Goin and Caroline Styne restaurant in Brentwood: Not only will it be a breakfast/lunch/dinner spot, but expect a retail area and bakery, too. "Like Balthazar in New York"; we're told. They are getting closer to a name, but still withholding.
