THAI NO MORE: The little Thai place on the corner of Ivar and Hollywood, overshadowed by Beso across the street, is all papered up (right). We hear it's going to be some sort of "rock and roll" hot dog place. Name or information, anyone? Anyone? [PLYWOOD]
KARMA COFFEEHOUSE: Karma Coffeehouse on Cahuenga and Selma will soon be another burger concept with Kris Keith and Spacecraft Design responsible for the look: curvy bar, indoor outdoor seating, lots of light. No word on when Karma will officially close, or when that burger joint will get off the ground. [PRE-PLYWOOD]
BIG WANGS: Despite some questionable clientele, the frat-tastic bar is spreading its wings: A new location opens at 5300 Lankershim in North Hollywood on September 4. [POST-PLYWOOD]
THE FARMER'S KITCHEN: This storefront in Sunset + Vine that will serve as a permanent home for the Hollywood Farmers' Market with sit-down and take-out is finally chugging right along, expect a fall opening. [PLYWOOD]
OFF VINE: A tipster asks when she can get her "brunch back on" at the Craftsman cottage. Months after the April 27 fire that obliterated the restaurant's second floor, we took a peek and there's still no renovation action whatsoever. Calls to the phone number get the same message as the website. Update via email: "Currently, our plans have been submitted to the city and we await plan-check approval. We are hoping that will take just a few weeks more and we can start our remodeling construction then." [CHARRED WOOD]
