Here we have a quick peek at the giant white LA Food Show plywood on Beverly Drive. It's from CPK founders Larry Flax and Rick Rosenfield---now that they have more than 240 CPK's under their belt, they need a new project. The original LA Food Show in Manhattan Beach touts "the spirit of invention and cross-culture experimentation is at the heart of LA Food Show," so expect the same at the new 6,000-square-foot resto: there will be a large exhibition kitchen and a menu with burgers to Szechwan noodles and "everything in between." And all right next to the new Montage Hotel, which is still under construction. While they originally thought the resto would open in early 2008, sources are keeping to the vague "fall 2008" date, but we know hiring begins on September 8 so a debut couldn't be too far behind.
