And more from the coffee and breakfast food front: Dunkin' Donuts' promise to expand to the West Coast may finally come to fruition. According to NPR, there will be nine new stores in Phoenix with 150 planned in Arizona, and 10,000 stores planned in the next decade. Now, we're a fan of Munchkins as much as the next person, but since living on the West Coast for a number of years, the lack of Dunkin' Donuts never really bothered us. But people (i.e. East Coast transplants) have been begging for the donut chain to open out this way for years. If they come, bringining all their new fangled coffee drinks and egg-white breakfast sandwiches, would they give Starbucks a run for its money? [NPR via Franklin Ave]
