Several tipsters sent word that Doughboys closed its Highland location last week due to thinks "falling apart," which we couldn't confirm with the restaurant because no one answered the phone; by the end of the day the phone was disconnected. Sounded quick and dirty, and here we have even more proof: Handwritten signage talking about "much needed repairs" and renovations, furniture frantically pushed into a cluttered dining room, dirty dishes on tables. The omnipresent "B" and graffiti on the windows probably didn't help things. Status: Closed until further notice.
