There are probably so many more of these Olympic deals out there, so do drop us a line for the EaterWire if there's something missing.
CULVER CITY: Vinoteque has several during the Olympics opening weekend: On Friday 8/8/08, there's an $8 menu during the opening ceremony, and on Sunday (8/10) there's brunch and basketball in the morning, suds ($3 beers) and soccer throughout the day. Swimming and gymnastics don't have a special, but the TVs will be cranked with Olympiads all day long. [EaterWire]
BRENTWOOD: The restaurant at the top of the Hotel Angeleno, West, will have opening ceremony-specials on Friday, all priced $8.88, of course. Someone had a lot of downtime to come up with these names: Stuffed Mushroom Discus, Chicken Javelin Throws (skewered), and the USA Gold cocktail. Well, at least it's a place to let 405 rush-hour traffic die down. [UrbanDaddy]
MANHATTAN BEACH: At Darren's, Darren Weiss created a special Olympics menu with dishes honoring various countries participating in the games. The menu replaces the regular until all the Golds, Silver and Bronze medals are handed out, and during happy hour (Mon-Fri 4:30pm-6:30pm) those items will be half price. [EaterWire]
