EaterWire: Krispy Kreme Freebies Downtown, Verdugo's Oktoberfest, Starbucks for Teachers

New, 3 comments

DOWNTOWN: When you see some silver-suited guy handing you a Krispy Kreme doughnut hole near the 7th Street Metro station tomorrow, he's not just another crazy. It's a TV promotion, this time for some FOX show called Hole in the Wall. Thursday (9/11), starts at 7am until they run out. [Eater Inbox]

GLASSEL PARK: The Verdugo Bar has their first Oktoberfest this weekend, meaning German beer, brats, music and competitions on the patio and the "parking lot turned beer garden." Tickets are $15, which gets you three beers; everything else is extra. Saturday, 1pm-6pm. [EaterWire]

EVERYWHERE: Because teachers deserve it, we support this gimmick: Show a Starbucks barista your school badge or some other form of identification that you are a certified K-12 teacher, get a free coffee on Mondays throughout the month of September. [Fast Food Maven]
