DOWNTOWN: Per Angelenic, Gram & Papa's opened in the Fashion District this week. The mostly grab-and-go menu (only lunch for now) consists of salads and sandwiches with seasonal ingredients; offerings like house pickled vegetables, poached tuna, roasted turkey, imported meats and cheeses. A tipster lets on that owner Michael Ilic "came up through the Danny Meyer/Gramercy Tavern farm system," so you know what to expect. [227 E 9th St, 213.624.7272; website]

ATWATER VILLAGE: Viet Noodle House's sibling Viet Wrap 'n Roll is now open. Eating L.A. says there's "small but precious banh mi," fried shrimp rolls, spicy sardine or vegan tofu basil sandwiches, crepes, salads and five different noodle dishes are among items on the menu. Look for a "grand opening" from 11am-3pm this Sunday (9/14). [3133 Glendale Blvd, 323.906.1575]

WEST HOLLYWOOD: Invitations were sent to check out the new 24K Lounge (replaces Seven which used to be iCandy) when it debuts this Friday (9/12), so if you're into gold and the scene, this would be your place. The Guide discovers a $100 martini on the list—yes, $100—that naturally has real gold in it. Who didn't get the message that it's all about affordability these days? NORTH HOLLYWOOD: The name is oh-so-unfortunate, but the kids get a kick out of it: Big Wang's opens its second outpost on Friday (9/12). [5300 Lankershim Blvd, 323.469.2449]
