A neighborhood local spotted workers inside the forthcoming Verrazano's Pizza on La Brea (the former Pig space) and got a few more details: "Two brothers own the place. They just recently moved here from Brooklyn and they come from a long line of pizza makers. Menu is going to be simple, pizzas, sandwiches, pastas, salads. They've cleaned up the inside and it looks pretty decent. They hope to open in about a week or so. Outdoor dining to come later." So per the earlier commenters' debate, this sounds more along the lines of Joe's and Vito's, less Mozza. Officially entering the NY-style pizza wars....now. [~ELA~]
