SAN GABRIEL: The Norm's on Valley Boulevard has closed. It was open for almost 40 years, it's one of the few places open 24 hours in the area and one of the last remaining mid-century buildings on this strip. Coming up: Condos, mixed-use, blah blah. [EaterWire]

WEHO: Tonight The Abbey hosts its annual Christmas in September benefit for Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. The only thing here for the kiddies, however, are the unwrapped toys guests are encouraged to bring as a donation. Otherwise it's sexy Santas, candy canes in all the right places, fake snow, and a live performance from Dirty Sexy Money star Candis Cayne. Starts at 8pm. [Metromix]

MELROSE: We already told you that 8 oz finally added lunch hours and real Bloody Marys to the menu, but we didn't know they'd have one with bacon-infused vodka and a bacon stir stick. Mmm. Brunch in a glass. [EaterWire]
