Adding to the recent rash of Melrose muggings, the Coffee Bean at Melrose and Gardner was robbed this morning: "As a female employee was setting up tables outside the store, the suspect walked up to the woman and pointed a gun to her head and ordered her into the store. Once inside, he rounded up the other employees on duty, forced them to the office at the rear of the store, and threatened them with harm while demanding money. He escaped with an unknown amount of cash." Let's hope it doesn't end up like Oakland. [LAist]
