Plywood Tracking: Riva, "Another Fraiche Idea"

SANTA MONICA: A tipster alerted us to some visible changes going on at the former Scarboni space on Wilshire Boulevard, which will soon be Riva, the new Italian resto from Jason Travi, Thierry Perez and the crew behind Fraiche. We never officially confirmed the name---although new coming soon signage ("Riva...another Fraiche idea") does---nor the August debut rumor, which obviously didn't happen. We do know, however, that pizza will definitely be a component. When we caught up with Travi a few months ago, he said the restaurant should open "by the end of the year." Mid-to-late October, early November definitely looks doable.
