The Art of Paying

New, 4 comments

LAist is now offering dining advice "compiled from etiquette classes, books, newspaper articles, and experience." First up: Paying etiquette. "If you have no money, the best situation is to borrow money from friends at the table. Try and come up with a logical excuse for not having your money or card to avoid embarrassment. If that is not an option, go to the maitre d' or manager, tell them your plight, show your identification, phone number, and get a receipt for money owed. They might want to hold onto something as collateral, so send the money that day or the day after if possible." Wait, has that ever worked for someone? Please, do tell. [LAist]
