What's Denny's to do now that other fast-food chains are stealing its late-night business? Why, make a Grand Slamwich, of course. Marking the first time the chain will offer a product directly aimed at drive-through eaters, Denny's CEO Nelso Marchioli tells the Fast Food Maven that the breakfast sandwich, which has eggs, bacon, sausage on potato bread glazed with maple syrup, "would remind you of something you’d find at Starbucks or Panera Bread," it will cost less than $5 and be available next year. It's all a plan to keep Denny's in the game: "In 24 months we’ll be more personal, more connected. We’ll be a completely different company." [FFM]
