A reason to avoid or head to Old Town Pasadena tonight: The 17th annual Taste of Pasadena takes place from 5:30pm to 9pm. $25 gets you a wrist band so you can pick up free samples at 32 restaurants including places like King Taco, The Kitchen, Bar Celona, Villa Soriso, Vertical Wine Bar, Mojitos, Siena, Tibet Nepal House, Jake's Cafe, City Thai, Bird Pick and even froyo at Squeeze & Scoop. About 500 people participated last year, which is 500 more people than usual walking around the neighborhood---expect parking garage mayhem accordingly. Tickets are still available but can only be purchased at the Dilbeck Realty office at 132 Colorado Boulevard. Proceeds go to various charities. [EaterWire]
