Bob's Big Boy Replacing Johnie's Broiler, Rendered

This is here is the latest rendering of the planned Bob's Big Boy in Downey, the one taking over the former Johnie's Broiler which some numnut bulldozed last year. The Downey Patriot reports that the city is paying $900,000 to ensure control of the site’s “historical” elements, including the famous “broiler” signage. We think Googie fans approve.
