SILVER LAKE: After a trial run last month, Sue Moore has decided to park the Let's Be Frank truck in front of Silverlake Wines every Thursday night from 5pm-11pm. We're pretty sure someone at the shop will know which wine goes with all-natural beef hot dogs topped with onions and homemade bread-and-butter pickles. [Eater Inbox; photo via Triplecreme]
VENICE: Not only has AK Restaurant finally added windows on its patio/dining room, but also now serves brunch on Saturday and Sunday, 10am-3pm. The new menu has some old-fashioned comfort foods like Swedish pancakes, brioche French toast and chef Conny Andersson's favorite breakfast hash. Fresh juices, champagne, beer, and specialty mimosas and bellinis are also served. [Eater Inbox]
DOWNTOWN: Spitz kicks off 2009 by buying their neighbors love: Although open for a couple months now, the Little Tokyo location will finally have its "grand opening" with $2 beers and 50 percent off all menu items this Thursday (Jan. 15) from 7pm-12am. Doner kebabs, sweet potato fries and beer. [Eater Inbo]
DOWNTOWN: The Urth Caffe at the Barker Block has finally extended its hours, now open daily from 7am-10pm. [Angelenic]
