You have to be in Washington D.C. to feel the excitement for Jan. 20 when we welcome Barack Obama as our 44th President of the United States. And apparently, you can hawk anything to celebrate: Krispy Kreme thinks it's a good enough reason to give away free doughnuts. The Melting Pot in Pasadena and Torrance has free chocolate fondue for those who get the special three-course menu. There are events at The Abbey in West Hollywood, Rush Street in Culver City, and Senor Fish will have an extended happy hour downtown. Akasha in Culver City will have a Mexican-themed menu (inspried by Obama's favorite Chicago chef, Rick Bayless), and there's a gala at Cicada downtown. And don't forget the Obama cupcakes. Have more Inauguration Day happenings? Throw 'em in comments.
