BRENTWOOD: A reader noticed Literati 2 closed yesterday, only news because the restaurant is usually open on Mondays and shutterings are pretty much de rigueur these days. The deal: The restaurant is closed for at least two weeks for renovations. What sort of renovations? They're not really spilling, but say it's not extensive but not mild, and they hope to reopen by Jan. 19---if all goes as planned. [EaterWire]

CHEF SHUFFLES: In November, Brian Redzikowski took over as exec chef at Bond St at the Thompson Hotel in Beverly Hills. He was recently exec sous chef at Yellowtail at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, and worked at Joel Robuchon before that. He's added quite a few dishes, including specialty sushi rolls and sashimi, to the menu. [EaterWire]
