EaterWire: No More BYO at The Park, Pinkberry's Anniversary Freebies, Riva Adds Weekend Lunch

New, 5 comments

ECHO PARK: Some good and bad news from The Park. First the good: The restaurant will soon be adding family-style dinners on Tuesday nights and lunch. The bad: The city notified the restaurant that the BYO policy is not in accordance with state law (as discussed before, yes, BYO is illegal unless the proper permits are in place), so no more BYO anything until they get permitted for booze after this weekend. But the Parksters don't want that stop you: "We will be applying for a permit and hopefully we will be able to get through all the red tape quickly. In the mean time we hope that all of you will continue to support us." [Eater Inbox]

WEST HOLLYWOOD: Can you believe four years has passed already? The lines and garbage, the obsession, the copycats, the lawsuits, the millions, the finally listing the ingredients, changing the recipe, and finally getting designated as "yogurt"---it's been a wild ride. Pinkberry celebrates its anniversary at the original Huntely Drive store Saturday (Jan. 10) with free froyo from 5pm-7pm for those of you still fascinated with it. [Eater Inbox]

SANTA MONICA: Jason Travi is adding weekend lunch at Riva starting tomorrow (Jan. 10). Ricotta fritters with fruit compote, breakfast pizza with smoked pancetta and eggs, prosciutto panini with roasted peppers are just a few items that will cure the hangover. Served 11:30am-2:30pm Sat-Sun. [Eater Inbox]
