Status: Opening tonightAt 5p Riva officially turns into a pumpkin the second outpost of the Culver City mainstay, Fraiche. Exterior signage has already made the switch and now bears the Fraiche logo, and a temporary shutter earlier this week allowed for some minor interior design changes as well. Though still a work in progress the dining space won't be completely ready tonight because extra banquettes are expected to be added in this weekend. On a sad note, Jason Travi and his wife Miho are no longer helming the kitchen, though they claim to be working with the restaurants on a "consulting basis." So, in their absence Elderoy Arendse and Sydney Hunter III are running the show with John Park (Water Grill) as pastry chef. Expect some tweaks to the new Friache menu.
