So, the Santa Monica super-mall behemoth is clearly not on time, but what else is new in plywood these days. Santa Monica Place, the mall by Third Street Promenade that was designed by Frank Gehry in 1980 then closed last year for a remodel, is now set to open late 2010. Here's what's on tap for rooftop fast-casual dining: Serving up a blend of Persian and Cali fare comes Charlie Kabob; Chick n' Ribs fills the ribs and bbq department; Fatburger, no explanation needed; Manchu Wok for the requisite Chinese buffet situation; Pinches Tacos (holla!), which we heard was expanding with several more locations will serve up cactus tacos and such; Sarku Japan mall sushi, you be the judge; Stefano's Pizza serving the aforementioned plus other expected dishes; Sushi IttHo more sushi; and of course it wouldn't be a food court without Wetzel's Pretzels.
