Yesterday, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi introduced that big $894 billion health care, including a bit relevant to the food world, namely menu labeling for restaurants that are part of a chain with 20 or more outlets. Restaurant associations have long wanted a Senate bill like this, mostly because they say that the industry needs a uniform national standard to avoid a "patchwork" of local regulations.
