HOLLYWOOD— Last month brought word of Osteria La Buca partner Filippo Cortivo and "Mama" leaving La Buca for greener grass, now Grub Street shares the news that Alberto Lazzarino (Melograno) has taken over for Mama. Interesting. Lazzarino "refreshed" the menu which now boasts lower prices and more "accessible" wines. And don't forget about the La Buca annex still in progress next door. [EaterWire]
WEHO— With Boa safely situated in Luckman Plaza, into its old home comes the Olive, which has had signage up for ages outside the Grafton Hotel. Proprietor Greg Morris (The Oaks, Spanish Kitchen, Oak Fire Pizzeria & Pub) hopes to open his Italian bistro in about two months but judging from the concrete, unfinished walls, and guys hammering away--looks like it could be longer.
