Piccolo Adds New Room, 3rd St Musings, Sona Tasting Menu

New, 3 comments

VENICEPiccolo, the tiny neighborhood Italian haunt just steps from the beach is expanding its dining room next door. The annex should be mostly complete by Thursday and doubles the seating capacity of the restaurant. The new room can be booked for private events for the next few weeks, and shortly thereafter will open up as a second dining space for regular diners. Then, come January, the original half of Piccolo will undergo a similar renovation to match the new addition. Owners are also going to take down that yellowish left wall to adjoin the two spaces. MID-CITY— Still no conclusive word on what will become of the former Food Court LA space, but B+S shares some buzz, could be yet another gastropub or perhaps a sports bar. [B+S]

WEHOSona is still alive and well (?), for how long we don't know, but the restaurant is offering a Tuesday through Thursday prix fixe from now through the month of December. The below listed menu celebrates Sona's most popular dishes over the past seven years. Click the jump for the $77 menu.
