Ludo Pops Up at Royal/T This December

The official word is in. Ludo Lefebvre's next pop up eatery will, as expected, arise in a Culver City art gallery, good ol' Royal/T. This guest cheffing stint will span 13 non-consecutive days during the month of December and is titled LudoBites & Royal/T Get In Bed Together. Interesting. The dining and art collaboration will obviously feature fare prepared by the famed French chef in addition to "a new exhibition curated by Jane Glassman that will showcase the full circle of professionals that comprise the 21st Century arts community" according to PR word. Basically 50 works by 50 different artists from a myriad of fields; performance art to paintings to sculptures. As for Ludo, he plans to serve "bistronomy" an amalgam of bistro fare with shmancy flourishes. A little sous-vide here, a little foam there. Each night diners will be presented with a changing small plates a la carte menu ranging in price from $7 to $22 (sounds like the last incarnation). The 13-day extravaganza takes place on December 2-4, 9-10, 13-17, 20-22 and reservations must be made by visiting ludobites.com.
