Welcome Bricks & Scones, the newest kid on Larchmont Blvd since its inception on Halloween. Get that AM or midday caffeine fix via Intelligentsia coffee and Lupicia teas which can be blended to order with fresh juices for a fruity tea twist. Proprietor Jinah Kim noticed a lack of coffee shops on Larchmont (the owner of Larchmont Bungalow must have noticed the same void) and thus opened Bricks & Scones, her dream coffee shop: comfy and cozy lounge area, quick service, great coffee, outside patio, and free Wi-Fi. Best part is, this is a total mom and pop establishment. While Kim runs front of the house her mother bakes all pasties served which includes hazelnut croissants and standards like red velvet cupcakes and blueberry muffins. A take-out menu is currently available for lunch only (sandwiches, salads) but Kim says breakfast will soon follow since her mom makes a mean French toast. Permits pending, Kim hopes to showcase local musicians on weekday nights so stay tuned for that.
