MONTROSE— Yesterday casual eatery Fork opened on Honolulu Ave. The restaurant is a collaboration between Michael Ruiz (Bistro Verdu) and Gail Connell and serves affordable country peasant cuisine from France, Italy, and American. [Facebook]

DOWNTOWNBabycakes plans to open this month on Sixth Street, and to drum up some excitement the bakery prepared a snazzy little cooking music video found here. [Vimeo]

MID-CITY— Chili My Soul is no more, but to La Cienega comes Chili Addiction. Eater dropped by the forthcoming location for a spot check but that December 1 opening obviously did not go as planned. More to come. [EaterWire]
