Delichurros Hits Downtown, BK Whopper Bar Launches in Florida, The Anti-Energy Drink, MORE

New, 5 comments

DOWNTOWN— Eeekk, another churro company is headed for LA. Watch out guys. Though apparently the newbie Delichurros, originally based in Mexico, actually started way before Xooro. Anyway, it's all about “the original filled churros” plus an array of sweet beverages. [Food GPS]

FLORIDA— That pretty little thing up above? That, friends, is the new "upscale" BK Whopper Bar. Oh Yes. The first modern meatery kicked off in Orlando, but don't worry more are in the works. From the official press release: "Sandwiches are built to order by an expert 'WHOPPER®-ista' from the WHOPPER® Topper, a visible toppings theater that allows guests to choose from favorites like A.1.® Thick & Hearty steak sauce, smoked bacon, Angry onions and guacamole." [Eater Miami]

AROUND TOWN— A new trend to look for next year, the slow-down drink. Think energy drink, but the opposite, like Mary Jane's Relaxing Soda, "a sugary drink laced with kava, a South Pacific root purported to have sedative properties." Interesting. [DD]

BEVERLY HILLS— M Cafe has reinvented itself with a new concept called Little m. As of January 4, the restaurant will introduce new breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus with emphasis on affordable grab-and-go options. [EaterWire]
