1) Santa Monica: In an earlier life it was Flint's, followed by 310 Bistro, then most recently Santa Monica Bar & Grill. Now, 3321 Pico is under renovation yet again to become Upper West, a simple neighborhood spot slated to serve burgers, fries, sandwiches, salads, and such. Specifics include a full liquor license, glassed-in patio, full bar with six beers on tap, specialty cocktails, and aspirations to open in January. [EaterWire]

2) Beverly Hills: News from Canon Drive. Tiger Sushi is finally ready to open in the former unlucky Luckyfish home next week. Rumor has it the eatery snagged a former Katsuya chef to steer the ship. [EaterWire]

3) Venice: And that expansion over at Primitivo is also nearing completion. Glance above for a first look at Primitivo's beautful new private dining room. [EaterWire]

4) Downtown: Last month The LAT shared news on the massive Holiday Inn overhaul that will transform the property into the more upscale Luxe City Center Hotel. A few more unreported details. The "stylish" revamp is headed by SAND Design and while the food situation is tbd, it will most likely end up a tapas concept. [EaterWire]

5) Hollywood: Seriously, what is going on at A.Shack or Red Eye or whatever it's called. We haven't heard a peep from anyone over there. It was supposed to open two months ago and when we recently stopped by the space looked like a plywood mess. Apparently owners have encountered some financing issues, thus construction has halted. Rough. [EaterWire]

6) Culver City: Not much progress at Libra either. Still Korean-Brazilian bbq but the construction crew says they are wayyy behind schedule. [EaterWire]

6) Hollywood: PR tells us that Tender Greens is in fact opening in January at the Sunset-Vine Tower and here diners have the option of dining on a private 1,200-square-foot patio. As a whole this 4th Tender Greens outpost is the largest of the bunch with 3,900-square-feet and seating for 120. Also, tons of eco-friendly elements in the form of reclaimed and recycled materials from floor to wall to furniture. No big surprises here. [EaterWire]
