Jon Lovitz to Open Eponymous Beach-Themed Club

New, 3 comments

Universal City: Well, it's not April Fool's Day anymore, so we suppose that Jon Lovitz is actually going to be the newest entrepreneur in LA's food and hospitality industry:

The comedian and his business partner Frank Kelley will open the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club on the site that formerly housed the BB King Blues Club at Universal's CityWalk ... Doors open May 28.
But that's not all: the space will have three teirs—three levels of Lovitz!—and will allegedly incorporate two things that the actor/comedian thinks are often lacking from comedy clubs: "great food" and beach decor. That said, he's got a similar venue in San Diego, CityWalk is definitely the place for such a project, and the ace in the hole could be a partnership with CityWalk's new neighbor, The Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien.
