Steve Plotnicki's annual Opinionated About Dining Survey was released yesterday. Urasawa is the only local restaurant to be included in the top tier ("Worth Planning a Trip Around"), with a score of 99, just one point below the French Laundry. Other familiar faces earning high marks: Providence (96), Spago (94), Il Grano (93), Matsuhisa (93) and Osteria Mozza (93). On the other end of the spectrum is the "Can't Recommend" section, which includes Giorgio Baldi, Koi and Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills. Also notable is a new Cheap Eats category, where Phillipe the Original gets the highest score in all the land. [OAD]
