Today, the WSJ reminds everyone that restaurants are in a tizzy trying to lure in clientele by rolling out bar menus, with example number one being the $1.3 million, (once) high-end Foundry: "Three months ago, Mr. Greenspan turned the restaurant into a lounge with nightly live bands, cocktail waitresses and promotions such as 'fried-chicken-and-waffles night.' The dining room has been banished to a back patio. 'The lounge is keeping us alive,' he says." [WSJ]
