From the Eater Complaints Dept: "I was over at a packed Chaya Downtown last week for happy hour and Assemblyman Mike Davis was sitting nearby with another guy. I guess they were enjoying the happy hour as well at this new downtown spot. After the two men got their food and drinks, I overheard the cocktail waitress tell them that the bill was taken care of. What a sweet deal! Shortly afterwards, the two men got up and left. I noticed that the men didn't even leave a tip for the poor waitress. I guess our state budget is worse than I imagined, when an elected official stiffs a minimum-wage employee after receiving a free meal. Ugh!" [Eater Inbox]
