Week in Reviews: Jitlada Nabs the Deuce

For this week's Wednesday episode, Miss Irene lets her hair down for the "wonderful zaniness of dinner at Jitlada." The piece is equal parts review and equal profile of owner Jazz Singsanong, but in the end, it's an ode to Miss Irene's favorite place to soothe her, um, ragged spirit (chin up, Sherry!):

The list of southern Thai dishes tacked into the back of Jitlada's menu has made it a mecca for Thai food lovers, but for me, this is my go-to restaurant for comfort food ... In these troubled times, a dose of Jitlada's cooking and Jazz's mothering can go a long way to soothing the ragged spirit.
At Jitlada, she says it's best to put yourself in Jazz's hands, especially once she gets to know you (because she's cautious at first, you see). Anyway, with no negative points in the rather puffy review, it's a two-star affair this week at the Hollywood Thai favorite. [LAT]

THE ELSEWHERE & THE BLOGS: The Find stops by San Pedro's Pavich's Brick Oven Pizzeria, LAist hits up Rush Street, FST leaves hungry from the Hungry Cat, Foodventures is at Inaka, B+S does butterscotch budino at Mozza, and Ritz Bites discovers that that's not a homeless person but a Piroshki Lady.
