Border Grill Hopping on Taco Truck Bandwagon Too

New, 18 comments

Downtown: We suppose it was only a matter of time until Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken decided to try their hand at street food on the actual street, so we're pleased to announce the arrival of the Border Grill Taco Truck. The truck will be a spinoff of both the Santa Monica flagship and downtown's Ciudad, and it will make its debut tomorrow (Thursday) night from 6 to 10pm at 433 South Spring Street, right in front of the new Ed Hardy store on the Downtown Art Walk. Excited yet?

The majority of the menu will consist of gourmet tacos for two bucks, but there will also be some familiar Border Grill apps, green corn tamales, empanadas and the like. This is the first time they're trying out this taco truck idea, and they're actually borrowing it from another vendor for this premiere, so think of tomorrow's appearance as an experiment of sorts. However, going down the line, the plan is to have a true Border Grill taco truck for both special events and random citywide appearances.
