Adventures in PR

New, 86 comments

An aspiring food writer shares an awe-inspiring email encounter with a PR rep for an unnamed "Asian fusion truck." The entire tale is an eye-opener, but in a nutshell, after an admittedly-amateurish media inquiry, a PR rep goes nutso and scolds the writer. One particularly amusing excerpt of the response: "I like Lizzies in general, but you're just going to have to try again. The way in which you framed your questions makes me feel like I'm at a job interview -- and I'm not. You want to get a story, you're going to have to try harder ... I'm someone's little sister who gets paid peanuts." That there's what we like to call a meltdown. [Food She Thought]
