Right off the bat, Jonathan Gold declares a recent lunch at Craftbar as "one of the most pleasant" meals he's enjoyed this year. Like Patric Kuh earlier this week, Gold posits that the new smaller plates menu accentuates Colicchio's vision: "...this lunch seemed like a different thing entirely, like the Craft experience distilled into a tasting menu." Predictably, the kitchen isn't as polished in the new regime's first week, but Gold is happy as long as he gets his lamb belly quota. [LAW]
