According to the NY Times today texting during dinner is baad news. Whether the culprit is emailing, texting, or tweeting, it's always an offense when someone texts in your presence. Dr. Imber-Black (Rituals in Families and Family Therapy) speculates that the rise of texting could be attributed to "the erosion of a boundary between work and family, particularly for men in any kind of business where they’re just afraid to stop working practically 24-7." Texting during a meal has become ubiquitous both at home and at a restaurant, so we pose the question to the masses:
