EaterWire: Farrell's Comeback, BottleRock Sets a Date, Pazzo Gelato Honored, Sprinkles Freebies

DOWNTOWN—We had a menu preview of BottleRock earlier in the week, and with their final inspections in the rear view mirror, we get word of some hard opening dates. Next Monday is the soft opening and the official opening is slated for Friday the 15th. [EaterWire]

LISTS—New froyo shops continue to pop up around town, but ice cream is still around too. Pazzo Gelato is the only LA representative on Bon Appetit's nationwide top ten list this month. [BA]

MISSION VIEJO—Speaking of ice cream, Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour is making a SoCal comeback, as it has announced plans for a 7,300-square-foot restaurant and ice cream shop in the Shops at Mission Viejo. The space was last occupied by Oceans 33. [FFM]

FREEBIES—Rumor has it that if you say "Candace" at any Sprinkles location today, you'll get a free cupcake in honor of the birthday of Sprinkles founder Candace Nelson. Or you'll just look silly. Either way. [OCW]
