Eater Tracking: BOA Sunset, Marco's, Xooro

New, 13 comments

WeHo: Next week, BOA, located in the Grafton Hotel, will move into its new digs at 9200 Sunset Blvd. Situated in the Luckman Plaza, BOA Sunset will feature 13,000 square feet of dining space with a 4,000 square-foot outdoor dining patio. The menu will remain the same, but the new location will serve as the steakhouse's flagship restaurant. Starting June 26, the 17-year old Marco's on Santa Monica Blvd. will do a switcharoo and move into a new location across the street at 8200 Santa Monica Blvd. The new Marco's will debut an Itali-Cali comfort food menu headed by new chef Matthew Gladstone, and also offer 50 wines by the glass. The renovated space will be smaller and more intimate with about 55 seats and an al fresco dining option. The old Marcos, at 8136 Santa Monica Blvd., will remain open until the end of the month. Also in WeHo news, Blackburn + Sweetzer reported about three weeks ago that the gourmet churro producer, Xooro, was planning on opening up its second location on Melrose Ave. The new shop debuts on June 24 next door to Sweet Lady Jane at 8360 (space #107) Melrose Ave., not 8107 Melrose Ave as B+S originally reported. Drop by day one for a complimentary vanilla churro.
