Post-Plywood Report: Marla's Gourmet Cuisine

After 20 years of catering, owner Marla Barreira recently changed things up a bit by turning her catering biz into a small cafe with several indoor tables plus a sunny outdoor garden dining area. Located at 2300 Abbot Kinney Blvd., Marla's opened about a month ago in the same space the catering business had existed for years, now serving Venice locals Mexican-American fusion fare. The eatery is currently opened Mon-Fri 11:30a-9p, Sat 11:30a-6p and Yo! Venice! has a copy of the current menu. [YV]
