DOWNTOWN— On August 8, Yelp and a handful of other sponsors will host the first annual Korean BBQ cook-off. Resident foodie Jonathan Gold shall serve as a one of six judges as restaurants like Byul Dae Po (Star BBQ), Ham Ji Park, Jinju Galbi, Mu Dae Po, Park's BBQ, So Hyang, and Soowon Galbi compete for best Korean BBQ dish in town. EAST LA— To further their support of local farmers, USC will introduce a new monthly certified farmer's market debuting Aug 12 at the Health Sciences Campus (HSC) on the USC campus.
