The Kitchen, a dim sum abode in Alhambra that received attention from the LA Times here and here has shuttered, and was spotted with padlocks on the doors (often a sign of eviction). Owner David Gong opened the Chinese dim sum spot about two and a half years ago with the intent to elevate the status of Chinese food by serving high quality healthful fare at a higher price point, despite tons of lower priced Chinese food that littered surrounding blocks.
