Santa Monica: Yesterday was a sad day for West Side writers as the original Novel Cafe shuttered after nearly 20 years of biz. However, today Tasting Table shared the good news that the writer's abode will reopen later this week at 2127 Lincoln Blvd., replacing Velocity Cafe, the colorful coffee shop in Santa Monica.
