After yesterday's post on Ludo's confirmed acquisition of the Rita Flora space (which he denied to Squid Ink), two additional separate sources have shed some light on the takeover with several new details. The Provender followed up with a post today reporting that Ludo's permanent restaurant may open in the previously confirmed space as early as December with another project in between then and now. As of last night, word on the street was that Ludo will open a secondary pop up restaurant in Culver City circa October, though plans will not be finalized until Ludo returns from Hawaii. The new concept will resemble LudoBites with affordable inventive food but this time there will be a real kitchen and a sous so Ludo can spend time in the front of the house as well as behind kitchen doors. Pop-up number two is also slated to serve beer and wine (plus a reasonable corkage fee to encourage a casual atmosphere) in a gallery-esque artsy space. [EaterWire]
