MID-CITY— More developments from the heart of the anti-food truck center at 5750 Wilshire. A reader writes, “Food truck issues have been a hot topic lately and many of us are getting pretty upset since we're loving the new options. I've even seen someone hold a parking space for the Kogi truck by standing in the empty spot in the street. I've started an online petition aimed at letting the local restaurants know how we feel.” Those in favor of better (?) lunch options, sign as you please. [EaterWire]
DOWNTOWN— The exotic sausage and craft beer emporium, Wurstküche, plans to expand its alcoholic offerings to fresh fruit cocktail and such. The hipster haunt is currently waiting for its full liquor license, and while the prospect is exciting, it certainly will not facilitate scoring a table on a Friday night. [EaterWire]
VENICE— In addition to serving Italian ices, Del’s Lemonade recently added soft pretzels to their menu with some other East Coast treats still on the way. The Del’s truck also launched earlier this week so watch for that near Westside beaches. [EaterWire]
