Brent Bolthouse, a pivotal figure behind many glitzy restaurants and nightlife hubs, has split from Sam Nazarian’s SBE Entertainment Group. Better known as "Heidi's boss" on The Hills, Bolthouse has contributed creative guidance to spots like Foxtail, Hyde, and Michael Mina's XIV. Also considered a promoter, Bolthouse brings publicity to his venues through his various celebrity ties (so no shocker that he was on The Hills). On the other hand, SBE too is a crucial player in the Los Angeles nightlife scene. Think the SLS Hotel and The Bazaar, the Philippe Starck-designed Katsuyas, The Abbey, Area, the newly opened Mi-6, and the upcoming revamp of Gladstone's and Hyde in LA Live. Not too shabby. Details are still developing on what caused the separation, stay tuned for more to come. [SSLA]
