FIN-AL-LY CasaLinda has opened. The old Tortilla Grill space has been converted into a two-floor rustic mexican eatery with outdoor seating, two rooms for indoor seating on the ground floor, plus an additional dining space on floor two. The restaurant is mostly finished with a colorful tiled counter, simple wooden tables and chairs plus some bar seating around the periphery of the ground floor overlooking Abbot Kinney. CasaLinda boasts organic tortillas that range in the $2 realm, but guests can also choose from a selection of Mexican seafood dishes, tortas, quesadillas, tamales, soups, and sides (guac and chips, back beans, etc.) most of which are priced around $8 for the larger dishes. Drinks include the requisite horchata and some fresh fruit juices; melon, watermelon, and lime-basil-mint lemonade. Swing by seven day a week between 11a and 9p.
